Overview


The Nursing Center in ElderSuite serves as the centralized workspace for managing all client health and clinical documentation. It allows staff to record health assessments, physician’s orders, standing orders, nursing notes, medications, and treatment records — all from a single, organized interface.


ElderSuite also supports Recurring Records, enabling users to automatically generate future entries for supported record types such as Monthly Nursing Assessments and Health Assessments. When this feature is available, a Make Recurring button will appear on the toolbar.

Common Workflows Simplified

Completing a Health Assessment (Form 3050)

  1. Open the Nursing Center.

  2. Click Health Assessment & Service Plans.

  3. Select the client from the Client List.

  4. Click Add to create a new assessment.

  5. Complete all required information and click Save.

  6. If available, click Make Recurring to automatically schedule future Health Assessments.

  7. (Optional) Mark Print Later for batch or deferred printing.

Creating a Physician’s Order (Form 3055)

  1. Click Physician’s Orders in the Nursing Center.

  2. Select the client.

  3. Click Add to create a new order.

  4. Enter the Order Date and, if applicable, the Verbal Order Date.

  5. Choose the Physician and complete all fields, including medications and diagnoses.

  6. Click Save, then Print to generate a copy of the order.

Setting Up a Recurring Nursing Assessment

  1. Click Monthly Nursing Assessments.

  2. Select a client and click Add to create a new assessment.

  3. Enter assessment details and click Save.

  4. Click the Make Recurring button — available for record types that support recurring transactions.

  5. Define the recurrence schedule (e.g., Monthly, Quarterly).

  6. Future occurrences will appear in the Recurring Records tab.


Key Navigation Tips

  • Always select a client first before adding or editing records.

  • Use the View dropdown to toggle between Active Clients and All Clients.

  • Mark Print Later to queue forms for batch printing.

  • The Make Recurring button only appears when a record type supports recurring transactions.

  • Review upcoming or scheduled items in the Recurring Records tab.

  1. Complete Health Assessments (Form 3050) at enrollment and annually.

  3. Review and update Physician’s Orders (Form 3055) regularly to reflect changes in care.

  4. Record daily observations and updates under Nursing Notes.

  5. Use Print Later to efficiently batch print multiple records.

  6. Periodically review the Recurring Records tab to confirm all recurring transactions are active and up to date.
